Give staff access to tickets
Understand Discord permissions, dashboard roles, and category support roles.
Updated 3 days ago
Ticket access comes from three separate places.
- Discord permissions control what the bot and people can do in channels.
- Dashboard roles control who can configure Ticket Tool or handle tickets in the web dashboard.
- A category's Support Roles control which staff roles can see tickets in that category.
Do not add individual staff members to Support Roles. Add the Discord role they share. If Support Roles is empty, only the ticket creator and server administrators can see new tickets.
The category's Allowed roles setting is different. It controls which members may open that type of ticket. Leaving it empty allows everyone.
